Is Pilgrim Metal & Core open to the public?
Yes. Our receiving hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2 pm.
What do I need to sell?
Per state law, all customers are required to provide a valid ID to sell material. Aluminum cans are the only exception to this rule. Unfortunately, we will not be able to buy your material if you do not have your current identification card with you.
Do you pay cash?
Per state law, we are required to pay all purchases over $100.00 by check. There is an exception for aluminum cans.
How much are are you currently paying for aluminum cans?
.45 cents a pound for clean, water, ice and trash free cans (updated 4/9/24). We pay veterans .05 more per pound. Please bring proof of your service.
Do you recycle plastic?
No. We buy residential and commercial ferrous and non-ferrous metal, automotive scrap, wire and some electronics, including computer towers and tower components.

Do you hand out price sheets?
No. Prices are subject to change without notice. Please give us a call at 336-249-6695 for current pricing on specific items.
How do I know if it's steel?
If a magnet sticks to it, it is steel.
